Pastoral Care

At Orange Uniting Church, Pastoral Care is simply the love that we as a family show to one another, modelled on the life of Jesus Christ, and the love he showed to both friends and strangers.

This is mostly informal, through friends and fellowship, but should the need arise, we are able to offer more formal pastoral support. 

Orange Uniting Church has a threefold vision for pastoral care:

• Hospitality – welcoming and engaging with newcomers
• Compassion – responding immediately and in ongoing ways to practical, spiritual and emotional needs and pastoral crises
• Community – sustaining and building connections, providing oversight of, and support for, all the different ways we gather

For many years we have used the “Pastoral Partner Program”, to help guide us in this important, life giving aspect of our congregational life.
