COVID 19 Update

Where to find us

Orange Uniting Church is the most central church in Orange and traces its history in this location all the way back to 1849.

You will find us at 217 Anson Street, Orange, between Summer Street and Byng street, beside the Ex-Services Club.

What to expect on a Sunday

Currently, we worship as a hybrid congregation due to COVID 19 restrictions. That means that you can attend in person or watch online.

If you would like to come and worship in person in Orange, at either of the two services in the morning – 9.00 am Intergenerational and 10.30 am Traditional please make sure that you get there in time to sign in using the QR code and your smart phone, or using the tablet provided if you do not have a smart phone. COVID Marshalls/Welcomers will assist you with this.

  • If you would prefer not to attend in person:

    • You can join by Zoom, and see the service live, actively take part if you wish, and be seen with the other Zoomers on the big screen at church if you choose to keep your video on. Please make contact to receive the Zoom link for either service.
    • You can watch the recording from Monday morning on YouTube by clicking https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI_wiHKqhRLj7bLMXnf22Vg

Prior to COVID 19 our practice was as follows:

The congregation gathers as a group of all ages at 9.30 am every Sunday.

Children are catered for through a child friendly start to the service followed by Sunday School for ages 0-12 at about 9.50am.

There is a children’s play area in the church for younger children to keep them entertained throughout the service if their parents would rather keep them in the church for the whole time.

Worship is blended with a mix of new and old styles.

Music is varied with the use of organ, piano, guitar and other instruments.

Please come along and meet us and stay for morning tea after the service.

Parking

On a Sunday we have a large car park available behind the church hall.

Feel free to drive in, find a spot and make your way into the church.
